SCORES of supporters donned their best outfits to raise almost £5,000 at the Fat Lads on Bikes & Phat Lasses in Trainers Polka Dot and Black Tie Ball.
Taking over Redworth Hall for the evening, the charity rallied plenty of support as they auctioned prizes and signed memorabilia at their gala night on Friday, November 6.
As a result of the event and a year’s worth of fundraising, the organisers raised £28,500 for cancer unit Ward 14 at James Cook University Hospital, which they handed over at the ball.
Neal Bullock, one of the organises of the charity, said he was amazed how far the charity had come in a year.
“We had an absolutely amazing night,” he said. “There was 220 people at the ball and it was a brilliant night. We celebrated the amount of work that we have all achieved in just a year.
“We were all so proud to hand over the cheque for £28,500, but we are determined to beat that total next year.”
