No matter how good or bad you think life is, wake up each day and be thankful for life. Someone somewhere else is fighting to survive.

short bio:

A Boro Boy born and bred who has always been hugely proud of being a smoggie, Chairman and Founder of the Fat Lads on Bikes

I live in Ingleby barwick with my partner Kay and 3 Kids Leo, Milly and Alfie G , love spending time with friends and living a stress free life , follow the Boro home and Away and have a passion for food and good wine and raising money for Ward 14 and Local Causes on Teesside , favourite movie is the Godfather 2 and favourite TV programmes are Auf wiedersehn Pet , The Sopranos and Match of the Day , love nothing better than cooking for friends and family, best meal of the week is a Sunday dinner and it has to be Yorkies first ! Just like nana Bullock used to make them!

Greatest achievement to date apart from having 3 amazing kids has to be winning 2 rosettes at the cook’s room in Great Ayton my first restaurant , but this could be over shadowed with what we are going to achieve with the Fat Lads on Bikes and Phat Lasses in Trainers.

On August 5th 2014 I said the now immortal words to Glenn,

‘It will just be two Fat Lads on Bikes raising a few bob for charity Cuz’

And the Fat Lads on Bikes was born!

From that day to this it’s been unreal how we have caught the imagination and struck a chord with so many different people that have been touched by Cancer and have had experience of the fantastic care that Ward 14 offers to the patients and Families, not only that but local business that want to help and support us as we grow and develop as a charity

With Charity Status a priority for us in 2015 we are working incredibly hard to ensure that every box is ticked to achieve this, the future of the Fat Lads is now in the hands of so many and I thank each and every one of you

Remember it’s not about the size of your waist it’s the size of your heart that matters so get involved and make a difference!

I was Born and Raised in Saltersgill Middlesbrough very proud Teessider; I am proud father and grandfather, engaged to Lisa the love of my life.

I work for Yesss electrical in Stockton and I am avid follower of Middlesbrough football club, I enjoy the gym, running and cycling and keeping as fit as possible.

Looking forward to the c2c and the challenge of the 3 days of cycling to raise as much money as we can for ward 14 which helped my mother through her illness; Ward 14 played such a huge part in her recovery that we felt we had to support them In any way we could, and so it was for this reason that we were inspired us to start the Fat Lads on Bikes, the ability to give something back to them , and hopefully help to provide the extras that mean so much to the other families and patients that find themselves staying on ward 14.

“They are the real heroes and I salute each and every one of them and thank them from the bottom of my heart”

My favourite Movie is Goodfells and the Godfather trilogy, favourite TV Programme of all time is Only Fools and Horses and I love nothing better than a Parmo and few Pints with my friends and family

'The most useful asset is not a head full of knowledge but, A heart full of love With ears open to listen And hands willing to help'

short bio:

I am 36 and married to Andrew (my hero) with 2 daughters Eleanor 11 and Aimee 8.

Born and Bred in Guisborugh, I've only had a few years out of the town but came back as soon as the opportunity arose and I've never left again!

I love my home town and its surroundings, seeing Highcliffe out of one of my windows and Roseberry Topping out the other reminds me every day how lucky I am to live here... I want to see Guisborough and its people prosper and live healthy happy lifestyles.

I am co-founder of Guisborough's only ladies running club. Catherine's Any-1-Can Run Group has 40 regular runners (after starting out with just 3 mums from the school run!) I am hugely proud of run club and all its members. Thanks to them I get to put my trainers on at least 3 times weekly without them I wouldn't have kept it up!

I work at Marton Pharmacy in Middlesbrough as a healthy living advisor. I also work as a healthy living champion and leader for the healthy living pharmacy project. A scheme that started in the south and is now after a few years hard slog! Being rolled out in pharmacies across tees.

I believe the general public should have free access to Health Education and Services. I think and feel in my heart that we need to be open to change of lifestyle to benefit not just us but our younger generation.

I believe that kindness is a gift anyone can give, its something that everybody has yet costs them nothing to have, it can be given and received freely. In the words of my late Nana "it's nice to be nice"

I'm rubbish at making decisions, (I couldn't even decide I my favourite book film or food to do this!) I'm troubled by after thought and think with my heart not my head I'm impatient with technology and never read things fully.......just scan read then make the rest up!

However, I'm a tryer, a doer, a helper, a lover, a carer,I'm reliable, dependable, generous, friendly and a laugh.

I hope to inspire anyone who crosses my path and see the goodness within themselves

At the top of the PhatLass chain I sit next to Neal. I am Trustee and Secretary although my heart lies alongside to the Phat Lasses. I spend my time organising events, raising awareness of our project and making/keeping relationships with the Phat Lasses.....We are something unique which I love dearly.

short bio:

Born 31st October 1975 in Saltburn. I am married to Trish and have 4 wonderful children, Liam 18, Jade 16, Jack 10 and Archie 2.

I was raised in Eston and have lived here all my life,

My working career started out in IT a childhood passion of mine but I swiftly became extremely fed up when I realised it wasn’t about playing computer games all day! I made the switch to construction which presented many welcome challenges & experiences. I have ran two businesses at Director Level where I had taken a very hands on approach, I am the type of person who is not at ease unless I am overseeing every aspect of the business.

I have carried out commercial refurbishments to some of Teessides most iconic buildings, Cargo Fleet offices in Skippers Lane which I won a Considerate Constructors bronze site award for outstanding Health & Safety, Co-operative Building, Linthorpe Rd which won Best Commercial Building MBC Urban Design Awards and Royal Middlehaven House, Gosford St to name a few.

I love learning new things and swear by Google! It’s my bible.

My Favourite Film is The Goonies, I love almost all genres of music, Massive fan of Alan Partridge, The League of Gentlemen, Father Ted and The Discovery Channel.

It’s an absolute honor to be involved with the Fat Lads on Bikes and Phat Lasses in Trainers, I wanted to contribute and help make a difference as cancer has taken so many family and close friends in recent years.
